AstraZeneca reported historic phase 3 trial results for Enhertu – medicine for breast cancer treatment. Company said that trials showed meaningful improvement of survival in patients with breast cancer, compared with choice of chemotherapy. Susan Galbraith, company’s executive vice president for Oncology R&D, said, that this historic news could reshape how breast cancer is classified and treated. She added that this kind of therapy named HER-2, never showed benefits in patients before. Trial involved around 540 patients from Asia, Europe and North America.

Lupus medicine Saphnelo gets green light from Europe company announced. In trials, it showed great results compared with placebo medicine. However, drug was already approved in USA, Canada and Japan, but getting Europe on the list is huge step for the company.

AstraZeneca is increasing its dividend to 1,45 GBP and is expected to be effective form 28th of March. Even though dividend is higher, yield is still only 2,5% which is below the industry average. On the other hand, AstraZeneca’s stocks so far in this year have gained 4,5% against a decrease of 3,5% for the whole pharmaceutical industry.
