The US Congress on Tuesday approved a new fiscal package of $892 billion. This package is also linked to the Federal Government Financing Act. Including federal government funding worth about $2.3 trillion in spending.

In the stock of the package, we can see measures involving almost $300 billion to help small businesses; unemployment insurance by mid-March increased by $300 per week and direct payments to adult Americans up to $600 which will be sent to people next week.

"While we have recognized the urgent need for resources to suppress the virus so that we can safely open our economies and schools, we must also realize that more needs to be done," announced by Nancy Pelosi, reiterating calls for further stimulus support.

Despite positive sign of approving stimulus, raising coronavirus cases (214 000 cases per day) dampened enthusiasm over the long-awaited pandemic relief bill in Washington.
