Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the airline's Abu Dhabi-based joint venture, will operate the daily service beginning on 3rd of October, with rates starting at 359 dirhams (97.74 USD. Wizz Air, which claimed in October 2021 that flights from Abu Dhabi to Moscow would begin in December of that year, revealed on 27th of February that it has halted all flights to Russia.

Following the invasion of Ukraine, other Emirati airlines, including Emirates, continued to run services to Russia. Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is a partnership between the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund ADQ and the European carrier Wizz Air. It is situated in Abu Dhabi and is a recognized airline in the United Arab Emirates.

There were many airlines that cancelled the flights to and from Russia, some of them are Japan Airlines, Turkish Airlines, British Airways and most European Countries joined the sanctions.
