U.S. will no longer enforce masks on airplanes and trains

With this over-turning, The Biden administration will no longer enforce the use of masks in mentioned transport options. Soon after the announcement, American Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Airlines, and train line Amtrak said, that they are lifting the restriction effective immediately. The ruling included vaccine and test mandates for employers. The judge was appointed by Donald Trump, when he was still president, and over-turned the directives from Biden administration. However, they can still opt to appeal the order or seek, and emergency delays.

As this is effective immediately, TSA will not enforce the use of masks in public transportation at this time. CDC (U.S. Centre for Disease Control and Prevention) still recommends the use of masks in indoor public transportation. They are recommending it mostly because Covid-19 infections in USA are rising to around 36.000 new infections daily with 460 daily deaths and it is the highest number in the world, based on seven days average.
