Tesla's charging network could become industry standard

One concern is that Tesla's existing Supercharger network does not support the faster charging capabilities of Hyundai's electric vehicles (EVs) compared to other chargers. Chang stated that they will assess this issue from the customer's perspective and will engage in discussions with Tesla to explore possible adjustments to the charging system that would enable Hyundai customers to charge their vehicles at a faster rate. In related news, the Texas Department of Transportation announced that EV charging companies in the state will be required to include both Tesla's standard and the widely recognized CCS standard. This decision is part of the state's program to electrify highways using federal funding and has been influenced by the adoption of the NACS by Ford, GM, and Rivian, altering the requirements for the initial phase of the rollout.
