Saudi Arabia transfers Aramco shares to state fund

Saudi Arabia transfers Aramco shares to state fund

The transfer would help to boost PIF's (Public Investment Funds), as shares are expected to grow to about 1,07 trillion US dollars by the end of 2025. Despite this move, the state still retains more than 94% of the company's shares.

Saudi Aramco denies any involvement in this transfer, as it states that this was a private deal between the government and the state fund. At the same time, they are calming shareholders, that this move will not affect the number of issued shares nor the company's operations, dividends distribution policy, strategy, or governance framework. They also added that the shares transferred would rank equally among other existing ordinary shares.
