Some 17.5 million people voted in that poll, created on Sunday night, with 57.5% voting for his resignation. Musk has said he will follow the voice of the people. One of the most famous social networks was bought out by Musk in October 2022. Since then, he has introduced many changes in the company that have meant chaos for the entire operation and employees.

"I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & server teams," Musk expressed on his own social network Twitter.

Wall Street and investors are also calling for his dismissal, as Musk is not focusing on his other company Tesla, which makes electric cars, because of Twitter. Musk himself has said that he has had a lot on his plate in these difficult times and is willing to let go of the CEO position as soon as he finds a suitable successor.
